A Festival of Fabulous Mums
Celebrate autumn's colors amid thousands of blooming chrysanthemums at Duke Gardens.
Head to Duke Gardens this fall to experience a stunning display of exhibition chrysanthemums spread across two locations: the Ruth Mary Meyer Japanese Garden and indoors at the Doris Duke Center. The Central Carolina Chrysanthemum Society will be there to guide you through the 13 different classes of mums on display and answer any questions you have about these colorful fall flowers. It's a great way to enjoy the season's vibrant blooms and learn something new.
This is a free, drop-in event for all ages—no registration needed. Just know that parking fees do apply. If you're visiting with children, they'll need to be accompanied by an adult. The exhibit includes both paved and unpaved paths with some uneven terrain and slopes, so keep that in mind as you plan your visit. Questions? The gardens team is happy to help at 919-668-1701 or GardensEducation@duke.edu.
