A Festival of Fabulous Mums
Dazzling chrysanthemum display at Sarah P. Duke Gardens this fall.
This fall celebration brings vibrant chrysanthemum displays to Sarah P. Duke Gardens, with blooms showcasing both indoors and out. You'll find exhibition mums at the Ruth Mary Meyer Japanese Garden and throughout the Doris Duke Center. Members of the Central Carolina Chrysanthemum Society will be present to guide you through the 13 different chrysanthemum classes and answer your questions about these seasonal flowers.
The event is free and welcomes visitors of all ages on a drop-in basis—no advance registration needed. Just note that children must have an adult with them. Parking fees apply. The indoor spaces are fully accessible via paved paths, while outdoor areas combine paved walkways with some unpaved sections, uneven surfaces, and moderate slopes. For accessibility questions or other details, you can reach the gardens at 919-668-1701 or GardensEducation@duke.edu.
