Art on the Dot
Interactive art activity for kids at NC Museum of Art.
Art on the Dot offers a relaxed way to explore the museum with your family. A museum educator guides small groups through focused 30-minute conversations about just three artworks, making it perfect for visitors who want meaningful engagement without a lengthy commitment. Tours run in three rounds throughout the afternoon, so you can drop in for one session or stay for multiple rounds and discover different pieces each time.
This free program happens on weekend afternoons and works well for families with varying attention spans and interests. Since each round covers different works of art, returning visitors will always find something new to discuss. It's a gentle introduction to museum touring that lets kids and adults alike slow down and really look, ask questions, and connect with what's on display.
