Art on the Dot
Family-friendly art activity at NC Museum of Art combining looking and making.
Art on the Dot is the North Carolina Museum of Art's streamlined tour program, perfect for families who want a focused art experience without a lengthy time commitment. A museum docent guides visitors through roughly three artworks over the course of 30 minutes, making it ideal for younger children or anyone who prefers an intimate introduction to the collection.
The program runs in three back-to-back rounds on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with a 15-minute break between each session. You're welcome to join one tour, or stick around for multiple rounds to see different artworks and hear from different docents. General admission is free, so it's an affordable way to explore the museum and discover what catches your family's interest each visit.
