Art on the Dot
Interactive art experience at the NC Museum of Art's West Building.
Art on the Dot is the North Carolina Museum of Art's casual approach to experiencing their collection. A museum guide leads small groups through focused tours of about three artworks, with each tour lasting around 30 minutes. This format lets families dive into meaningful conversations about art without the commitment of a longer program.
The museum runs three back-to-back tour sessions on weekend afternoons, with short breaks between each round. You're welcome to join one session or stay for multiple rounds to explore different artworks and hear from different guides. Best of all, admission is completely free. It's a great option for families who want an introduction to the museum's galleries or prefer a bite-sized cultural outing.
