Art on the Dot

Art on the Dot is the North Carolina Museum of Art's accessible introduction to guided looking. A docent leads small groups through focused conversations about three artworks, spending about 30 minutes together. It's a relaxed way to explore the collection without the commitment of a longer tour—perfect for families who want a taste of expert perspective without overwhelming younger visitors or those new to museum experiences. The program runs in three consecutive rounds on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, with a 15-minute break between each session, so you're welcome to join one round or stay for multiple.
