Artful Story Time: Under Construction

Join us for a 30-minute story session designed for young children who love creativity and imagination. A rotating group of featured readers shares picture books while children look, listen, and move along with the stories. This month's theme celebrates all things construction—so bring your hard hats! You'll get an up-close look at the newly installed sculpture "Please Be Seated, North Carolina" in Museum Park, plus views of the active construction happening on the grounds. The special highlight this session: a real construction team member will be on hand to introduce kids to the machines, trucks, and tools they'll see working on site. It's a hands-on way to spark curiosity about how things are built. The program is free with registration and welcomes families with young children. No special skills or background knowledge needed—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
