Baby Lapsit

Infant storytime and lap-sit activities at the library.

Baby Lapsit is a gentle introduction to stories and rhythm designed for the youngest library visitors. During the 20-minute storytime, babies and their caregivers enjoy age-appropriate books, rhymes, music, and movement activities tailored to infants' developmental needs. After the structured program ends, families are welcome to stick around for an additional 30 minutes of unstructured playtime, giving babies a chance to explore and interact at their own pace while caregivers connect with others. This is a recurring program held regularly throughout the year at the main library's meeting room. It's perfect for new parents and caregivers looking for a low-pressure way to engage babies with language and rhythm while building community. Please note that photos may be taken during the event for the library's website and social media—just let staff know if you'd prefer not to be photographed. For questions or to confirm attendance, you can reach the library by phone or email.
