Babytime at Southern

Early literacy songs and stories for babies and walkers at Southern Branch Library.

Babytime at Southern is a short, interactive program designed for the littlest library visitors. During this 15–20 minute session in the children's area, babies and their caregivers enjoy stories, rhymes, bounces, and songs together. It's a wonderful way to introduce infants to language and rhythm while creating a calm, welcoming space for early learning. Siblings are welcome to join in the fun too. This program welcomes newborns through babies who are just starting to walk, along with their parents or caregivers. No special preparation is needed—just bring your little one and enjoy some quality time with other families in the community. If you have questions about the program, you can reach out to Samantha Hunter at sahunter@orangecountync.gov.
