Books and Belonging

Community book club focused on belonging and inclusion at Chapel Hill Library.

Books and Belonging is a monthly gathering designed to bring together readers of all abilities in a welcoming, accessible space. You'll explore different types of literature—including poems, short stories, and chapter books—while enjoying sensory supports and interactive materials that enhance the experience. No advance reading is required, and whether your child is just beginning to read or diving into longer books, everyone is welcome here. This is a great fit for teens and adults who enjoy literature and community. The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month for 45 minutes. If your family is interested in getting a library card or wants guidance exploring the library's collection more deeply, staff will be available to help. To join, register through the link provided on the library's event page.
