Carrboro's July 4th Celebration ⭐️

Carrboro's July 4th celebration with family activities.

Carrboro's July 4th celebration offers a full day of community activities starting at Weaver Street Market at 9:30 a.m. Families can enjoy the People's Parade at 10:50 a.m., led by the Bulltown Strutters, as it makes its way from Weaver Street to Town Hall. The festivities continue at Carrboro Town Commons from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., giving kids and adults plenty of time to participate in activities and soak in the holiday spirit. The day concludes with the 13th Annual Community Reading of the Frederick Douglass Essay "The Meaning of July Fourth for the Negro" at the Carrboro Century Center from 2 to 4 p.m.—a meaningful tradition presented rain or shine. The entire event is free to attend. If you'd like to give back, bring non-perishable items for PORCH; donation bins are set up at Weaver Street Market and Town Commons. Free public parking is available throughout downtown Carrboro; just avoid Carr Mill Mall lots to prevent towing. For detailed information, visit the event website.
