Dueling Dinosaurs Sensory Friendly Mornings

Sensory-friendly dinosaur experience at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

This sensory-friendly morning session lets families explore the Dueling Dinosaurs exhibit in a calmer environment with fewer crowds and reduced sound levels. You're welcome to bring your own noise-reducing headphones and fidgets. The museum also has a limited number of sensory-friendly bags available to check out at the front desk, plus a small supply of noise-reducing headphones you can borrow while you're at the exhibit. While you'll be guiding yourselves through the space at your own pace, there's an opportunity to interact with the research team in the SECU DinoLab if you'd like. Free registration isn't required but is encouraged—signing up means you'll receive reminder emails and helpful information about the exhibit beforehand. This program welcomes all ages and is especially designed with neurodivergent visitors in mind, though children must have an adult with them.
