This free, all-day forum brings together educators, scholars, and community members to explore how our state has approached education—and where we go from here. The program examines the complex journey of NC schools through discussions of court cases, legislation, and classroom experiences, marking the 70th anniversary of a significant moment in that history. Whether you're an educator looking to deepen your understanding or a parent invested in our schools, you'll find relevant perspectives and expert voices. The day starts at 9 am with coffee and community time, so arrive early if you can. Lunch and light refreshments are provided throughout the day.
