Family Nature Walks

Learn about local wildlife and spot squirrels, rabbits, and deer on a family nature walk.

Join us for a guided nature walk through Pritchard Park, where your family can explore the local wildlife and plants that make our area special. Led by an education specialist, these leisurely walks follow both paved and natural trails with planned stops to investigate the creatures and greenery around us. You might spot squirrels, rabbits, deer, and other furry neighbors if you're lucky! The program welcomes kids in grades K–8 and works best when children are accompanied by an adult throughout the walk. Registration is required to participate, and spots must be booked before the event begins. The library is committed to making this experience accessible to everyone, so if you need any specific accommodations or have concerns about accessibility, reach out to them directly. The library may also photograph or video the event, so you might see your family captured in their documentation.
