Fireworks Frenzy at Apex's Hunter Street Park ⭐️

Food, games, a drone light show, and fireworks kick off July 4th in Apex.

Ring in the Fourth of July with an evening full of family-friendly activities at Hunter Street Park. Your kids can start the night by decorating their bikes, wagons, or tricycles in patriotic colors for the Parade of Wheels—a new highlight this year that kicks off festivities along Hunter Street. After the parade, stick around for the Apex Fire Department's Splashdown, where children can cool off (just bring a towel!). Throughout the evening, you'll find plenty to keep everyone entertained with food trucks serving everything from lemonade to pizza, a kids' zone with inflatables and games, and an expanded drone light show unique to Apex. The evening concludes with a fireworks display, though both the drone show and fireworks may begin as early as 8:30 pm depending on weather. The organizers thoughtfully include a sensory-friendly space at the Apex Senior Center, allowing families who need it to step away before the louder portions of the show begin. Best of all, this entire event is completely free. Check the official Apex Parks & Recreation website for any weather-related updates closer to the date.
