Geschichtenzeit für Kinder | Storytime in German
German-language storytime with UNC students for children and families.
UNC German Language students lead this 25-minute storytelling session designed for young children and their families. The stories are told entirely in German using simple, accessible vocabulary—no prior knowledge of the language is necessary, and everyone is welcome to attend. It's a relaxed introduction to German through engaging narratives, perfect for curious kids who want to explore a new language in a supportive environment.
The program takes place in the Kids' Area at Southern Branch Library, located on the first floor of the Drakeford building. Children must have an adult caretaker present throughout the event. This is a free community program that works well for families with young children through early elementary ages looking for a unique, language-focused activity.
