Ghost Tours at The Hermitage

Step into the mysteries of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage after dark on this lantern-lit walking tour. You'll explore the mansion, grounds, family cemetery, and surrounding property while hearing ghost stories, folklore, and accounts of unexplained happenings connected to the site and Jackson himself. Along the way, guides share insights into death customs, mourning practices, and superstitions from the late-Regency and early-Victorian periods, blending history with the atmospheric experience of Tennessee's most historic home. The tour lasts about an hour and a half. Before your tour begins at Andrew & Rachel's Café, families can enjoy seasonal ghostly treats and specialty drinks to set the mood. Tickets are $55 for members and $60 for non-members, with a maximum of 42 people per tour to keep the experience intimate. Tours operate rain or shine, and tickets are non-refundable. Since spots sell out quickly, purchasing ahead is strongly recommended. Each person, including children, needs their own ticket. A portion of proceeds supports the Andrew Jackson Foundation's preservation and educational efforts.
