Grab a Bite & See a Site: Virtual NC Historic Site Tours

360° virtual tours of NC historic sites—including Alamance Battleground and Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum—at Orange County Public Library.

Explore some of North Carolina's most significant historical locations without leaving your seat. Specialists from NC Historic Sites will guide you through immersive 360° virtual tours of landmarks like Alamance Battleground, the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum, and Fort Dobbs. You'll have the chance to see these important sites up close and learn their stories in an engaging, interactive format. The library is providing snacks to enjoy during the program, though you're also welcome to bring your own lunch. This is a great way to experience history together as a family while taking a relaxed midday break. Registration is strongly encouraged so the library can prepare the right amount of refreshments for everyone attending. If you have concerns about photography at the event, just let the program staff know.
