Incredible Science

Interactive science program at NC Museum of Natural Sciences downtown location.

Your kids will spend thirty minutes watching live science experiments and demonstrations that bring natural wonders to life. The topics shift from day to day, but you can typically expect to see physics and chemistry in action—think inertia, buoyancy, and electromagnetism. The program also digs into cool natural science facts, like why beaver teeth are so incredibly strong or how an egg's design makes it nearly unbreakable. It's the kind of hands-on learning that makes science click for young minds. This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration is needed. It's geared toward kids ages 7 and up and admission is completely free. You'll find the program at Windows on the World on the third floor of the Nature Exploration Center. Since sessions run regularly throughout the week, you can drop in whenever it works best for your family's schedule.
