Incredible Science

Hands-on science demonstrations at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

Your kids can watch live science come to life during this quick, kid-friendly program. Over thirty minutes, presenters demonstrate real experiments and share cool facts about how the world works. You'll see physics and chemistry in action—things like how objects float, how magnets work, and what makes electricity happen. The program also dives into nature topics: ever wondered why beaver teeth are so tough, or how bird eggs are built so strong? Topics rotate, so each session offers something different to explore. This is a walk-up program with no registration needed, making it easy to drop in while you're at the museum. It's designed for children seven and older, though younger siblings are welcome to tag along. Best of all, it's completely free. The program runs regularly throughout the week at different times, so you can fit it into your schedule. Just head to Windows on the World on the third floor of the Nature Exploration Center when you arrive.
