Incredible Science
Hands-on science exhibits at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
Your kids can watch live science come to life in a fun, fast-paced 30-minute session packed with hands-on experiments and demonstrations. Each program focuses on different topics—you might see physics and chemistry in action through experiments with inertia, buoyancy, or electromagnetism, or learn surprising facts from the natural world, like why beaver teeth are so incredible or how bird eggs are engineered for strength. It's the perfect way to spark curiosity about how the world actually works.
This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration needed—just show up! It's designed for kids ages 7 and up, though younger siblings are welcome to tag along. The sessions happen regularly throughout the week, and best of all, it's completely free. You'll find the program at Windows on the World on the 3rd floor of the Nature Exploration Center.
