Incredible Science at Downtown Raleigh
Your kids will love this 30-minute program featuring hands-on science experiments and live demonstrations. The activities rotate, but you can typically expect to see physics and chemistry in action—exploring concepts like inertia, buoyancy, and how magnets work. The presenters also dive into fascinating natural science topics, from the surprising structure of beaver teeth to the remarkable strength of bird eggs. It's a great way to spark curiosity about how the world works.
This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration needed—just show up and enjoy. It's designed for children ages 7 and up, though younger siblings are welcome. The best part? It's completely free. The program runs regularly throughout the week at different times, and this particular session happens on the third floor of the Nature Exploration Center in downtown Raleigh.
