Incredible Science at Downtown Raleigh
Your kids will get to watch engaging science demonstrations and experiments during this quick 30-minute session. The topics shift from day to day, but you can expect to see hands-on physics and chemistry in action—think inertia, buoyancy, and electromagnetism. The program also explores natural science through fascinating real-world examples, like the surprising structure of beaver teeth or why bird eggs are so incredibly strong. It's a casual, walk-up style program with no advance registration needed, making it easy to drop in when you're visiting the museum.
This program works well for kids ages 7 and up. Sessions happen throughout the week at the Nature Exploration Center, and admission is completely free. Just show up at the scheduled time and head to Windows on the World on the third floor. It's a great way to spark curiosity about how the natural world actually works.
