Incredible Science

Hands-on science activities at NC Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh.

Your kids will love this 30-minute program filled with hands-on science demonstrations and experiments. Each session covers different topics, but you'll typically see physics and chemistry in action—think inertia, buoyancy, and electromagnetism. The presenters also dive into fascinating natural science, from the surprising structure of beaver teeth to how bird eggs are engineered to be so strong. It's a great way for curious minds to see science come alive. This is a walk-up program, so no registration needed—just show up and enjoy. It's designed for children ages 7 and up and is completely free. The program runs on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 1:30 p.m., plus Saturday mornings and afternoons. You'll find it in Windows on the World, located on the 3rd floor of the Nature Exploration Center downtown.
