Incredible Science
Interactive science program at NC Museum of Natural Sciences downtown location.
Your family will enjoy a lively 30-minute show packed with hands-on science experiments and live demonstrations. The content rotates, but you can expect to see engaging displays about physics and chemistry—think lessons on inertia, buoyancy, and how magnets work. There's also fascinating natural history mixed in, like learning about the incredible structure of beaver teeth or why bird eggs are so remarkably strong. It's the perfect length for younger attention spans while still being genuinely interesting for older kids and adults.
This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration is needed—just show up and jump in. It's designed with children ages 7 and up in mind, though younger siblings are welcome too. The presentation happens at Windows on the World on the 3rd floor of the Nature Exploration Center, and best of all, admission is completely free. Multiple time slots are available throughout the week if you need scheduling flexibility.
