Japanese Tea Gathering: Moon Viewing Tea

Japanese tea ceremony is a meditative cultural practice that transforms the simple act of making and sharing tea into an art form. At this Moon Viewing Tea gathering, families will experience the grace, mindfulness, and hospitality central to this centuries-old tradition. Expect to observe or participate in the careful preparation of matcha (powdered green tea), learn about seasonal aesthetics, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere—especially meaningful under the moonlight. It's a wonderful introduction to Japanese culture for children old enough to sit quietly and appreciate ritual, and a calming experience for all ages.
