Kids Chess Club

Kids Chess Club brings together young players for casual games and friendly competition. This club welcomes children at any skill level, though participants should already know the basic rules and how to play—it's not a teaching session. It's a great opportunity for kids who enjoy chess to practice their skills, meet other players their age, and have fun in a relaxed library setting. The club meets in Meeting Room A at the Chapel Hill Public Library. Whether your child is just learning to love the game or already plays regularly, they'll find welcoming opponents and a supportive environment. Keep in mind that the library does photograph and video record events, so your child may appear in those materials.
