Lasting Impressions: Clay Relief with Isys Hennigar

Join artist Isys Hennigar for a hands-on clay workshop where you'll learn bas-relief, a classic sculptural technique for creating dimensional designs. During the session, you'll work with clay slabs to carve and build imagery inspired by personal stories, myths, or nature. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary—whether you've never touched clay or you're already familiar with ceramics, you can participate and create something meaningful. After the workshop concludes, your finished pieces will be fired at Pullen Arts Center and available for pickup on a date you'll arrange with the instructor. Hennigar is an accomplished North Carolina ceramicist whose work explores how the natural world is represented and reimagined through art. General admission is $85, with a discounted rate of $75 for museum members.
