Live Animal Feeding: Lobster

The program highlights the lobster's impressive exoskeleton—a tough protective shell reinforced with minerals like lime that make it both thick and strong. This is a casual, walk-up program with no registration needed, so you can drop in whenever it works for your schedule. The feeding takes about 15 minutes and is suitable for all ages, from curious young children to teens and adults. Best of all, it's completely free. You'll find the program on the fourth floor of the Nature Exploration Center in the Arthropod Zoo. Sessions run on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 1:30 p.m., making it easy to fit into a weekend visit or weekday outing.
