Live Animal Feeding – Ocean Habitat

Watch live ocean animals being fed at NC Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh.

Watch the creatures in the Our Changing Oceans aquarium get fed during this short, kid-friendly program at the Nature Research Center. You'll see a variety of marine animals in action, including angelfish, tangs, grunts, balloonfish, and lobsters—all living in a 10,000-gallon tank. Staff from the Living Collections team will be on hand to answer questions and share insights about ocean life, making it a great way to learn while you watch. This is a walk-up program, so no registration is needed—just show up and enjoy! It runs for about 15 minutes and works well for families with children of any age, as well as teens and adults curious about marine ecosystems. Best of all, it's completely free. The program happens on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so you have plenty of opportunities to catch it.
