Live Animal Feeding – Ocean Habitat

Watch staff members feed the fish and other creatures living in the Our Changing Oceans aquarium during this short, hands-on program. You'll get to see several fascinating species in action, including angelfish, tangs, grunts, balloonfish, and lobsters, all housed together in a 10,000-gallon tank. The Living Collections staff will be on hand to answer questions and share what they know about these marine animals. It's a great way to learn how aquarium residents are cared for. This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration is needed—just show up and enjoy. The fifteen-minute session happens regularly throughout the week, making it easy to fit into your visit. It's free to attend and works well for families with kids of any age, from curious toddlers to older kids interested in ocean life. The program takes place on the first floor of the Nature Research Center, so it's convenient to combine with exploring other museum exhibits during your trip.
