Live Animal Feeding – Ocean Habitat
Watch live ocean animals being fed at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences' Downtown Raleigh location.
Your kids can watch trained staff feed the animals living in the Our Changing Oceans aquarium during this short, interactive program. The 10,000-gallon tank is home to several colorful species, including angelfish, tangs, grunts, balloonfish, and lobsters. You'll get to meet the Living Collections staff members who care for these creatures and learn more about ocean life while the feeding happens.
This is a casual, drop-in program with no registration needed—just show up and enjoy. It runs for about 15 minutes and works well for families with children of all ages, as well as teens and adults interested in marine animals. Best of all, admission is completely free. The program happens on select weekdays, so it's easy to fit into your schedule if you're in the area.
