Live Animal Feeding – Ocean Habitat

Watch live ocean creatures being fed at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

Watch our staff feed the ocean creatures in the 10,000-gallon Our Changing Oceans aquarium during this short, interactive program. You'll see a variety of marine life in action, including angelfish, tangs, grunts, balloonfish, and lobsters, while learning from our Living Collections experts about these fascinating species. It's a wonderful way to observe animals up close and discover how they behave during feeding time. This is a walk-up program with no registration needed—just show up and enjoy! The 15-minute session works well for families with children of any age, as well as teens and adults curious about ocean life. The program happens three times a week, so there are plenty of opportunities to catch it. Best of all, it's completely free as part of general museum admission.
