Live Animal Feeding – Ocean Habitat

Watch live ocean animal feeding at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

Your kids can watch as staff members feed the marine animals living in the Our Changing Oceans aquarium during this short, free program. You'll get to meet the Living Collections team and learn about the diverse species in the 10,000-gallon tank, including several types of angelfish and tangs, colorful grunts, balloonfish, and lobsters. It's a casual walk-up experience—no advance registration needed—making it easy to fit into your museum visit. This program works well for families with children of any age and is offered three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. The 15-minute session gives you a chance to see these ocean creatures in action and chat with experts who care for them. Since admission to the museum is free, this is an affordable way to spend time learning about marine life together.
