Live Animal Feeding – Ocean Habitat
Watch live animal feeding in the ocean habitat at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.
Watch as staff members feed the diverse marine animals living in the Our Changing Oceans aquarium during this short, engaging program. You'll get to see several species in action, including angelfish, tangs, grunts, balloonfish, and lobsters—all housed in a 10,000-gallon tank. The Living Collections staff will be on hand to share insights about ocean life and answer questions, making it a great learning opportunity for curious minds of all ages.
This is a walk-up program, so no advance registration is needed—just show up and enjoy! The feeding demonstration runs for about 15 minutes and happens multiple times per week. Best of all, it's completely free. Families with young children, teens, and adults alike will find something to appreciate in watching these creatures being fed and learning more about their habitats.
