Marvelous Moths

Virtual nature program exploring moths at NC Museum of Natural Sciences.

North Carolina is home to more than 3000 moth species, and this virtual program offers a fascinating look into their world. Join ecoEXPLORE Central as an educator explores these incredible insects and answers questions kids often wonder about—like why moths are attracted to lights and what (or whether) they actually eat. You'll discover the surprising variety of moths that live right here in our state. This online session is designed for children and teens who are curious about nature and insects. It's a great way to learn about local wildlife from home, and registration is required to participate. The program combines hands-on learning with expert knowledge to make science engaging and fun for young learners.
