Medicare Basics
Medicare Basics at 100 Library Dr.
Are you approaching 65 or thinking about Medicare enrollment? This session cuts through the confusion with straightforward guidance on one of life's important transitions. You'll learn about Medicare's different parts, enrollment deadlines, potential penalties for signing up late, and what costs and coverage options look like whether you're retiring soon, already retired, or staying in the workforce.
This program is led by SHIIP (Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program), a free resource from the North Carolina Department of Insurance that provides objective, unbiased information. The library partners with the Orange County Department on Aging to bring this valuable session to your community. Registration is required—you can sign up online or by calling the library. Photos are occasionally taken at events; the library is happy to discuss accessibility needs or accommodations you might need.
