Musical Instrument Petting Zoo
Hands-on musical-instrument exploration at Country Music Hall of Fame—free and engaging for young kids.
Your kids can get hands-on with real instruments at this interactive family activity. During the Musical Instrument Petting Zoo, children will have the chance to try playing fiddles, banjos, ukuleles, and other instruments with help from instructors who are there to guide them. It's a drop-in activity, so no registration needed—just show up and explore. The experience welcomes all ages and works perfectly for both kids new to music and those already interested in learning.
This activity is included with your museum admission, and it takes place in the Taylor Swift Education Center. If you're a museum member, it's completely free. Tennessee families with children ages 18 and under who live in the local area (Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, or Wilson counties) also get free admission for the kids, plus 25 percent off for up to two accompanying adults—just bring proof of residency.
