Nature Play Day at NCMA

Bring your little ones to spend a morning exploring and creating outdoors at the museum's park. Prairie Ridge staff will set out a rotating collection of natural play materials—think fort-building supplies, costumes, bubbles, paint, and more—designed to spark imagination and encourage hands-on discovery. A play facilitator will be on hand to guide the fun, but kids are free to direct their own adventures. This free, drop-in program works best for children seven and younger, though all ages are welcome. Just plan to arrive ready for outdoor play—dress for the weather, bring a willingness to get messy, and meet staff near the Welcome Center. The program runs for two hours, so you can stay as long as it suits your family. Since everything happens outside, check the forecast before you go!
