NCMA After Hours at West Building

The North Carolina Museum of Art is hosting a special evening event celebrating Indigenous creativity and fashion. This After Hours takeover features "Stitched in Tradition: Indigenous Fashion Showcase," which brings together designers from North Carolina tribal communities to present their work. The evening includes an opening song, a traditional regalia showcase with Indigenous dancers, designer runway presentations, and closing remarks from the featured creators. Throughout the night, you'll have time to explore the museum's galleries while enjoying the social atmosphere. General admission is free, making this a wonderful opportunity to experience contemporary Indigenous fashion and hear directly from the designers about their creative process and its role in representation and sovereignty. If you'd like to extend your visit, the NCMA Café offers dinner-style food and beverages available for purchase, and there's also a special cider and cheese pairing experience available. Both dining options can be reserved in advance for the early evening hours.
