NCMA Games Together

The North Carolina Museum of Art is hosting its first gaming festival—a full day of activities celebrating games in all their forms. Whether your family enjoys video games, tabletop adventures, or just wants to explore something new, there's something for everyone. You'll find playtesting stations with local indie game developers, tables set up for tabletop gaming challenges, and a chance to try out games you've never played before. Throughout the day, there are special programs to enjoy. A local jazz ensemble called Turnabout Players will perform video game–inspired music, author Jacob Geller will discuss his book about games and creativity, and there's an introductory Dungeons & Dragons workshop for beginners (no experience needed). The day wraps up with a screening of the Street Fighter movie. Basic admission is free, though some specific programs may have separate tickets. It's a laid-back way to spend a Saturday exploring creativity and play with other game enthusiasts.
