NCMA Games Together

The North Carolina Museum of Art is hosting its inaugural gaming festival—a full day celebrating video games, tabletop gaming, and interactive entertainment. Whether your family are longtime gamers or curious newcomers, there's something for everyone. The event features hands-on playtesting with local indie game developers, open play tables for board games and tabletop experiences, and a chance to learn from people passionate about gaming in all its forms. Throughout the day, you'll find a lineup of special programming: an introductory Dungeons & Dragons workshop perfect for first-timers (no experience needed), live video game–inspired jazz from the Turnabout Players, a talk by video essayist Jacob Geller, and a screening of the 1994 action film Street Fighter (rated PG-13). Local vendors will also be on hand. General admission is $12, with discounts for museum members at $7 per ticket.
