NCMA Loves Anime Winter Bazaar: Cottonbook Designer Talk: Seeking Magic in Daily Wear

Designer talk on anime fashion and daily wear at NC Museum of Art's winter bazaar.

Join local textile designer Lucy Kagan for an insider's look at her fashion studio, Cottonbook, as she shares how anime fandom and personal style intersect through clothing design. Over the past decade, Kagan's work has explored ways to express individuality through thoughtfully made garments. During this hour-long talk, she'll walk through her creative journey and discuss the relationship between fan culture and fashion choices. To bring her ideas to life, Kagan will have models on hand wearing pieces from her collections so you can see the fabrics, construction details, and design choices up close. This is a great event for anyone interested in fashion, textile arts, anime culture, or the creative process behind independent design. General admission is $7, or $5 if you're an NCMA member.
