North Carolina Symphony - Beethoven Symphony No. 9

The North Carolina Symphony performs Beethoven's iconic Ninth Symphony, one of classical music's most celebrated and accessible masterpieces. This is a wonderful introduction to orchestral music for families—the piece builds dramatically across four movements and concludes with the famous "Ode to Joy" chorus that many recognize. A live orchestra brings the grandeur and emotion of this work to life in ways a recording simply can't match. Families with children who have some patience for classical concerts will find this rewarding; younger kids may do best during the final movement when things get most energetic and vocal.
