Open Maker Session at the Makery at Boxyard RTP (Ages 6+)

Your kids can explore their creativity at this open maker space designed for families. The Makery at Boxyard RTP welcomes children ages 6 and up, along with teens and adults, to drop in and work on projects using provided materials. Staff members are on hand to assist with tools, setup, and brainstorming, so even if your family is new to making, you'll have plenty of support. The space is clean, well-equipped, and designed to be welcoming to everyone. Sessions run in two time blocks: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Children under 14 need an accompanying adult, though teens ages 14–17 can attend independently if a guardian completes a waiver beforehand. Pre-registration is required, and admission is $10–$20 per person. This is a great option for families wanting unstructured creative time without the pressure of a formal class.
