Open Maker Session at the Makery at Boxyard RTP (Ages 6+)
Drop-in maker sessions for kids, tweens & teens to build, create & innovate at Boxyard RTP.
Your kids can dive into hands-on creative projects at this maker space designed for elementary-aged children and up. During Open Maker Sessions, families have access to equipment and materials to build, design, and experiment with guidance from staff members. All supplies are provided, so you just need to bring your imagination. Sessions run in two blocks—morning (11 AM–2 PM) or evening (3–7 PM)—giving you flexibility to choose what works for your schedule.
This is a great fit for kids 6 and older who enjoy making things and exploring new skills. Younger children (under 14) need an adult with them, while teens 14 and up can attend independently once a guardian signs a waiver. Pre-registration is required, and admission costs $10–$20 per person. The space prioritizes safety and inclusivity, with helpful staff ready to assist with tools, setup, and creative ideas. You can register and buy tickets through their website.
