Open Maker Session at the Makery at Boxyard RTP (Ages 6+)

The Makery at Boxyard RTP is a creative space designed for kids ages 6 and up, as well as teens and adults. During open maker sessions, visitors have time to explore hands-on projects in a supportive environment. All materials you'll need are provided, and staff members are on hand to help with tools, setup, and brainstorming ideas. The space is clean, well-equipped, and welcoming to everyone. Children under 14 need an adult to attend with them, while teens ages 14–17 can come independently if a parent or guardian completes a waiver beforehand. Pre-registration is required to attend. Sessions run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission costs $10–$20 per person. You can register and purchase tickets through the NC Children's Museum website.
