Open Maker Session at the Makery at Boxyard RTP (Ages 6+)
Drop-in maker space for kids to create, build, and explore hands-on projects.
Your kids can dive into hands-on creative projects at this open maker space designed for elementary-aged children, tweens, teens, and adults. All materials you'll need are provided, and trained staff members are there to guide everyone with tool use, setup help, and creative inspiration. The space is clean, well-equipped, and built to welcome makers of all skill levels.
Here's what you need to know before you go: kids ages 6 and up are welcome, and the sessions run in two time blocks on Tuesday (11 AMโ2 PM or 3 PMโ7 PM). Children under 14 need an adult with them, while teens 14 and older can attend on their own if a parent or guardian completes a waiver beforehand. Admission is $10โ$20 per person, and you'll need to register ahead of time. Tickets are available through the NC Children's Museum website.
