Open Maker Session at the Makery at Boxyard RTP (Ages 6+)

Drop-in maker sessions for kids and teens at The Makery, a hands-on creation space.

The Makery at Boxyard RTP is a creative space designed for kids, tweens, teens, and adults to explore making and building projects together. During open sessions, visitors have access to tools and materials to work on their own projects or get inspired by staff ideas. All supplies are provided, and trained staff members are on hand to help with setup, answer questions, and offer guidance as you work. The space is kept clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. This event works well for kids starting at age 6, though younger children must have an adult with them at all times. Teens 14 and older can attend independently if a parent or guardian completes a waiver beforehand. Sessions run in two time blocks—morning (11 a.m.–2 p.m.) and evening (3–7 p.m.)—so you can choose what fits your schedule. Admission is $10–$20 per person. Pre-registration is required; you can book your spot and purchase tickets online through the link provided.
