Open Maker Session at the Makery at Boxyard RTP (Ages 6+)

Your kids can explore hands-on creativity at this open maker space designed for elementary-aged children through adults. During your visit, you'll have access to all the materials and tools needed for projects, with staff on hand to help with setup, troubleshooting, and inspiration. The space is clean, well-equipped, and welcoming to all skill levels, so whether your child is a first-time maker or seasoned builder, there's something for them to dive into. Sessions run in two windows each day (morning and afternoon/evening options available), giving you flexibility to fit this into your family's schedule. Kids ages 14 and up can attend independently with a signed parental waiver, while younger children need an adult companion. Sessions cost $10–$20 per person, and you'll need to register in advance. This is a great way for kids to tinker, create, and build confidence with their hands in a supportive environment.
